In Tirumala village of Mehboobnagar district of telangana, A widow with her two children & mother in law, A family of four from a lower caste have been living in the toilet for close to four years now. Sujatha,(30) says that nor sarpanch neither collector has help them. Sujatha a daily wage labourer has no other option to place a slab over the indian style commode.
Placing a stove over it & cook for her daughter venella (7), and son bhanu (10). Her husband siddaya (70) has died. Thier house was collapsed 4 years ago after a heavy fown pour. They first took the shelter in local community hall but she claims that they said to leave. At last they started to live in the toilet which was prepared by Govt.
In 2014 elections the KCR chief minister of telangana promised that 2.80 lakh double bedroom will get alloted to the poor people like sujatha who doesnt have home. But the promise at last remains a promise not reality.
In a country like india the caste should matter?
The idea of Ambedkar is implemented?
