The grand old party congress is undergoing it's darkest period ever. After being out of power from more than seven years the party is struggling to survive in states. Now the party is in power in less than five states And have less than 50 MPs in Loksabha.
Punjab rift:
In a state like punjab where the congress is in power the party is battling the internal fight between Cm captain Amrinder Singh and party president navjoth Singh Sidhu. Sidhu want's Amrinder Singh to be removed from cm post where as captain want's the removal of Sidhu. After making Sidhu party president the rift became quite, but it took heat when the Sidhu's advisor posted cartoon of Indira Gandhi which has gun and skull. Seeing this captain wanted that the advisor must resign. Under the party pressure advisor resigned. High command also talked against the Sidhu side. Party meetings, dinner parties etc are at it's peak stage. Both of them are trying to show' shakti pradarshan'.the time decides the parties future in state where the election's are Just months away.

Chattisgarh rift:
In Chattisgarh same rift had again got heat after completion of parties 2.5 year's term. Issue was 'rotational chief minister'. It was decided that the cm should change after 2.5 years. Ts singh deo is in race but bhagel doesn't seems to leave the post. These rift landed at Delhi. Both leaders met Rahul Gandhi. It's wait and watch in Chattisgarh also.
The party is in shambles' floating in doredrums' strong leadership can only can protect the party from 'drowning'!
