As we all know that Govt of India started `SWACHH BHARAT` mission in India on Oct 2 2014. Prime minister Narendra modi started this programme by sweeping the roads at Delhi on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The motto of this yojana was to create awareness among the people of India of cleanliness & to keep our country clean and green. The main objective of this scheme was to built toilets for Women's who live in villages, as most of the women's would go into farms for toilets. But how much this yojana benefited in building toilets is a question mark. `Swatch Bharat mission` was only for a photographing with the waste? This question is quite commonly raised after seeing the national media headlines with the photos of the VVIP`S carrying the sweeper`s.
`To accelerate the efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage and to put the focus on sanitation, the Prime Minister of India had launched the Swachh Bharat Mission on 2nd October 2014. Under the mission, all villages, Gram Panchayats, Districts, States and Union Territories in India declared themselves "open-defecation free" (ODF) by 2 October 2019, the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, by constructing over 100 million toilets in rural India. To ensure that the open defecation free behaviours are sustained, no one is left behind, and that solid and liquid waste management facilities are accessible, the Mission is moving towards the next Phase II of SBMG i.e ODF-Plus. ODF Plus activities under Phase II of Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) will reinforce ODF behaviours and focus on providing interventions for the safe management of solid and liquid waste in villages.`the paragraph posted on `swachhbharatmission.gov.in` a govt of India website, shows that 100 million toilets where built across India since 2014, but in reality some villages people still go to farms for Toilets,and in some of the villages toilets have been built but are not operational. Only small shed like structures have been built for showing data. & for propaganda purpose.
A Youtube media channel reported about a condition of Govt school in UP`S Chandauli dist. Which shows the hash reality of `shauchalye`(Toilets) built under the `Swachh Bharat mission Gramin yojana.`
`Purv prathmik vidyalay` a govt school in Mubarakpur,a village in up`s Chandauli`s dist. The condition of this school is very ridiculous,Without proper facility of classrooms,toilets & food. One of the student studying in 6th class in that school said about how bad the situation is. He said that they do not get proper food, they do not have proper facilities in class rooms, there is lack of faculty. The school consists very less female students when compare to male. On asking one of the student said that their school does not have facility of toilets for women in the schools, this is the main reason that girls does not study here. There is a toilet built under the Swachh Bharat yojana but only a shed was built without commode and water facility. He said that students excrete in the classrooms it self. This shows that how bad the situation is.
